Position at KSDB: Programming Director
Year in School: Junior
Major/Minor: Broadcasting/Entrepreneurship
Hometown: Wichita, KS

How’d you get involved with KSDB?
Ever since I enrolled at K-State, I knew I wanted to be a part of the radio station.  As I became involved in more parts of the operation, I fell in love with the place and the rest is history!

What exactly does your job entail?
Along with the station manager, I help to wrangle the 70 some-odd DJs and staff who come through the station every week.  I am responsible for the day-to-day programming of the station, so if I don’t do my job, you don’t hear anything.

Favorite part about your position? Or the Station?
Being a part of college radio is honestly one of the coolest things you can do in college.  You don’t even have to have skills in the field.  We accept everybody and encourage them to be creative.  What I love about our station is once we get an idea to do something, we just run out and do it.  Everyone here understands our importance and relevance to the community, and I make it my number one goal to give back to the community while helping to train the next generation of broadcasters.  And boy, do we have a blast!

What’s your biggest goal for the semester?
We’ve already had some really successful projects like our 5 hours of election coverage on the 8th, but one of my next projects is to help bring live radio drama back to the air.  This is really exciting and it’s coming soon!

Give us 3 albums or artists you’ve been vibing with lately.
Glass Animals
Andrew Bird

And, what is an interesting fact about you?
I am currently training for my private pilot’s license.
