MANHATTAN, Kan. — The Kansas State Wildcats capped off their first Big 12 conference series with a decisive victory over Utah, securing their third consecutive win and maintaining their undefeated record at home. The Utes, meanwhile, saw their losing streak trimmed to five games.

Entering the final game with identical 11-7 overall records, both teams were eager to make a statement at Tointon Family Stadium. Kansas State's determination to protect its home turf was evident from the start.

The game began quietly, with neither team scoring in the first inning. However, the Wildcats broke the silence in the second when shortstop Maximus Martin scored on a double by Madliak. Kansas State capitalized on Utah's errors in the third, adding three more runs to their tally.

Utah finally found some momentum in the fourth inning, thanks to a home run by Kaden Carpenter that brought in two runs. Despite this brief resurgence, the Utes were unable to sustain their offense, remaining scoreless for the remainder of the game.

Kansas State continued to build its lead, with Martin contributing two more runs on a double in the fifth inning. The Wildcats added another pair of runs in the sixth, highlighted by a home run from Kyan Lodice off a Utah error and an RBI single by AJ Evasco that scored Donte Lewis.

In a thrilling conclusion, the Wildcats mirrored their Friday night performance by hitting two home runs in the final inning. Lodice started the fireworks with a solo shot, followed by Evasco's two-run blast that brought Shintaro Inoue home, securing the win.

The sweep marked a strong series for Kansas State, which allowed just two runs to Utah while steadily increasing its lead throughout the game. The Wildcats' impressive defense at home sets them up for a promising rest of the season.
