MANHATTAN, Kan. — Kansas State University students have elected their new student government leaders for the 2025-2026 academic year. The results, announced Thursday, March 6 on Wildcat 91.9, showed that 8% of the student body voted in this year's election.


Brady Kappelmann and Zoey Pudenz secured the student body president and vice president positions with 88.28% of the vote, garnering 1,439 votes out of 1,630 cast.


In the race for the Collegian Media Group Student Advisory Committee, Tania Dominguez won the single two-year term seat with 52.64% of the vote. For the one-year terms, Marcus Kidd led with 18.68% of the vote, followed by Mason Springer, Caitlin Solis, and Vivian Griffith.


The Union Governing Board saw Marcus Kidd claim the top spot again with 10.59% of the vote, joined by Samantha Suchanek, Alexa Heseltine, and Emily Pray to fill the four available seats.


College-specific senate races were notably competitive this year. In the College of Agriculture, Ian Dunn led with 11.07% of the vote for one of six seats. The College of Arts and Sciences, with twelve seats available, saw Andrew Le secure the most votes at 10.31%.


Jack O'Malley topped the College of Business Administration race with 13.15% of the vote, while the College of Engineering's eleven seats were led by Spencer Strahm with 8.99% of the vote.


In smaller colleges, Hailey Biswell dominated the College of Education race with 37.42% of the vote for one of three seats. Lela Spitler led in the College of Health and Human Sciences with 21.32% for one of six seats.


The Graduate School elected Mayowa George as the top vote-getter with 10.94% for one of seven seats, while the College of Veterinary Medicine saw Carissa Jonak win with 58.33% of the vote for one of two seats.
