MANHATTAN, Kan. — Kansas State University is inviting feedback from the community on its Campus Master Plan during a series of town hall meetings scheduled for the week of Oct. 21. These sessions aim to engage students, faculty, alumni, and local residents in shaping the future of K-State’s campuses.
The Campus Master Plan focuses on five key themes: enhancing the K-State experience, creating resilient campuses, transforming learning environments, expanding research, and improving connectivity.
The town hall meetings will be held on K-State's three campuses:
Salina Campus: Monday, Oct. 21, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the College Center Conference Room.
Manhattan Campus: Tuesday, Oct. 22, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in room 1088 of the College of Business Administration. Participants can also join via Zoom. Heavy appetizers will be served.
Virtual Sessions: Wednesday, Oct. 23, with two sessions available from noon to 1 p.m. and from 6 to 7 p.m., both accessible via Zoom.
Olathe Campus: Thursday, Oct. 24, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Forum Hall Auditorium.
The Campus Master Plan serves as a strategic guide for redesigning K-State's physical spaces across its Manhattan, Olathe, and Salina campuses. It addresses facilities, space utilization, infrastructure, accessibility, security, transportation, and student experience. This plan aligns with K-State's Next-Gen strategic objectives to modernize infrastructure, attract talent, and support advanced research initiatives. The final version is expected to be unveiled in 2025.
Feedback for this plan has been collected over recent months through stakeholder sessions involving all K-State colleges, student and faculty groups, alumni, and local communities. These town halls represent another critical step in gathering diverse perspectives to ensure the plan meets the needs of the entire K-State community.
